Logan Liberty enters his second year as a graduate assistant of the Suffolk University Athletics Department and first as an Assistant to the Director of Athletics. In the role, Liberty will be responsible for game-day management, while assisting with academic success and the department's every day needs. In addition to his graduate assistant responsiblities, he is apart of Jeff Juron’s men’s basketball coaching staff. 

In his first academic year with the department, Liberty assisted in the production, publicity and marketing of the University's growing Athletic Department in the Sports Information Office. 

On the bench in 2016-17, Liberty helped Suffolk to a 7-19 overall mark, 6-12 league ledger and fifth straight trip to the GNAC Tourney. Along the way, the first-year assistant coach, helped Michael Hagopian take home All-GNAC second team honors after the sophomore put out a standout season that featured back-to-back 30-plus point games, a first for a Ram in a decade. Liberty also aided in Suffolk’s first-ever GNAC Institutional Sportsmanship Award, while the Rams stood out in the classroom, garnering NABC Team Academic Excellence for the first time

Straight off the court from a four-year career with the Rams’ GNAC competitor Lasell, Liberty brings a fresh players perspective and a wealth of conference knowledge to a well-balanced coaching staff. 

As a player with the Lasers, the 6-foot-8 forward immediately made an impact as a freshman and continuously contributed up to his final campaign as a senior in 2015-16, in which he started every contest. Over his storied four-year career, Liberty saw action in 85 games averaging 5.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest. 

A Duxbury, Vermont, product Liberty established his playing roots at Harwood Union, where he earned varsity status in baseball and basketball. 

The son of Todd and Andra Liberty, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in coaching from Lasell in May 2016. Liberty is currently furthering his education at Suffolk University as he pursues a Master’s Degree in Administration of Higher Education.
