Basketball Doubleheader Set for Tuesday

On Tuesday evening February 17, both Suffolk University Basketball teams will host home games at the Regan Gymnasium.

Suffolk's Men will be taking on Norwich University at 6 p.m. The game will be part of "Suffolk Spirit Night" hosted by the Office of Retention Services, Off-Campus Housing, Student Activities and the Athletic Department. There will be free food, prizes, raffles and giveaways at the game, as well as photo opportunities with Rammy.

Following that game at 8 p.m., Suffolk's Women's Basketball is hosting Johnson & Wales University. Suffolk University Women’s Basketball and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has partnered with the Women's Basketball Coaches' Assocation (WBCA) to host "Pink Zone" basketball games during the week of February 13-22, 2009. All women's basketball games during the week will raise funds for the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.

The WBCA Pink Zone™ initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

We ask that those in attendance wear pink to help show their support. This will be the second year Suffolk has taken part in this campaign. The Rams donned the pink shirts for a home game last February against Emmanuel College.
