After completing a standout career at Bentley College, Shannon Kirwan joins Ed Leyden’s staff for her second season as an assistant coach at Suffolk. The Melrose, Mass. native helped lead the Falcons to three NCAA Division II tournament berths during her career, including a match-up in last year’s NCAA Northeast Regional championship contest against eventual national champion Southern Connecticut, and she graduated after setting the Bentley record for most games played while ranking in the top 10 in seven other career categories. A former Globe and Herald all-scholastic performer at Melrose High, Kirwan also ranks among Bentley’s career leaders in three-point field goals.
