BOSTON – For the first week of action in 2017, Suffolk women's cross country's Emily Manfra picked up conference recognition as the sophomore was named GNAC Corvias Runner of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Manfra was the individual winner of the Roger Williams Invitational Saturday, Sept. 2. The sophomore from Stoneham, Massachusetts, finished the two-mile course at Colt State Park in 12:38 to pace Suffolk to a sixth-place finish.
The first weekly accolade of the season marks the fifth of Manfra's career.
Manfra and the Rams take this weekend off before returning to competition Saturday, Sept. 16 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
