MILTON, Mass. – The Suffolk men's hockey team rallied from a five-goal deficit to make it a one-goal game, 5-4, with plenty of time remaining in the third period, but back-to-back Curry goals within a 1:22 span sealed the Rams 7-4 losing fate at Max Ulin Arena Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Curry's James Murphy sparked an offensive onslaught from the hosts that would go on over the next 10 minutes and feature four Colonels goals all off the same stick, Tyler Vankleef, to jump ahead 5-0. Nick Mosher broke open the scoring for Suffolk at 16:55 in the first to get the comeback going.
The Rams would score the next three goals. Brian Brooks and Connor Parent put away their first tallies of the season in the second stanza to make it a 5-3 game and Danyil Medvedev's first goal of the year made things interesting just 4:13 into the final period.
Jordan Williamson stretch Curry's lead back to two goals and Vankleef's fifth of the night just 1:22 after Williamson's sealed the win for the Colonels.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Curry held the edge in shots, 42-35, and inside the faceoff circle, 45-31.
- Suffolk took advantage of one of its seven power play opportunities, while the Colonels scored on two of their 11 man-up advantages.
- Mosher, Brooks, Parent and Medevdev recorded the goals for the Rams.
- David Lappin and LJ Fellows each dished out two assists.
- Jack Jenkins and Stanton Turner also got on the scoresheet with an assist apiece on Brooks' goal.
