BOSTON – All members of Ram Nation are invited by Suffolk Athletics to East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, Oct. 5 for the Rams Fan Fest event.
The fifth event is a part of Suffolk Weekend and follows Rammy's Fun Run, which begins the day at 11 a.m. at East Boston Memorial Park inviting alumni, family members, faculty, staff, students and friends of all ages to run or walk for a great cause, the Suffolk University Center for Community Engagement (CCE).
Following the run, the family friendly fan fest festivities begin at 12 p.m. and the men's soccer kick-off against cross-city and GNAC rival Emmanuel is scheduled for 1 p.m.
For the first time at the annual event, Suffolk Athletics teamed up with the Suffolk CARES, which works collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, staff and other campus resources to provide support for students through a variety of challenges they may encounter while at Suffolk, to collect non-perishable items for the food pantry. Fans that bring a non-perishable item will be given a free Suffolk Athletics t-shirt while supplies last. Questions? Contact Amanda McGrath, Director of Student Outreach and Support.
Admission is free and East Boston Memorial Park is just a 10 minute T ride from Suffolk's campus in Beacon Hill. Fans are encouraged to travel the Blue Line from Bowdoin or State Street to the Airport stop and take the few minute walk over to the stadium.
Rams Fan fest is part of Suffolk Weekend, which brings together the entire University community. The weekend is the perfect opportunity for members of the Suffolk community and their families to reconnect or get acclimated with Suffolk, reminisce with old friends, make new ones and enjoy beautiful Boston in the fall.
