BOSTON – Suffolk University Athletics honored 60 expected graduating student-athletes with at the stole ceremony Friday, May 15 at the Keches Room in Sargent Hall.

For the third straight year the Athletics Department handed out white, blue-and-gold stoles that will be used to signify student-athletes at Suffolk University's commencement ceremonies, where over 67 Rams will earn their degrees.

During the hour-long program, where each student-athlete was robed with their student-athlete stole by a head coach or administrator from the athletic department, members of the audience were addressed by Suffolk University Associate Director of Athletics Anthoy Del Prete, and Matthew Belluardo, senior captain of the men's soccer team.

The tradition of presenting Suffolk student-athlete graduates with graduation stoles at a special reception has become an annual tradition. The graduation stoles are provided to student-athletes, who complete their degrees as rostered student-athletes, including grad students and fifth-year students, or who have exhausted their athletic eligibility as a Ram and earn their degree, undergraduate or postgraduate, at Suffolk University.
