Baseball Slotted Sixth in CCC Preseason Poll

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Suffolk baseball has been projected to finish sixth in the in the Commonwealth Coast conference (CCC) Coaches' Preseason Poll, the league announced Tuesday. 

The Rams finished with 44 points, four behind Nichols and in front of Curry (24), Gordon (21) and Wentworth (11).   

Endicott, reigning CCC Champion, is picked to do it all over again as the Gulls secured eight first place picks to take 80 points. 

The remaining first place vote landed on Salve Regina's ballot as the Seahawks slid into second with 70 points.  

Western New England (56) and Roger Williams (51) finished third and fourth, respectively.  

Suffolk is set for its third season in the CCC and aims to reach the playoffs for the third time in as many years.

Ram Nation will get its first glimpse at the 2023 edition of the Rams when Lasell stops by East Boston Memorial Park March 4-5 for a four-game series. First pitch of the 76th Suffolk baseball campaign is scheduled for game one of a double feature Saturday, March 4 at 12:00 p.m.
