BOSTON – Suffolk baseball returns to the diamond Thursday, April 16 when it travels to take on MIT in non-conference action at 7:00 p.m. at LeLacheur Park.

 Suffolk baseball dropped a 16-5 Conference of New England (CNE) decision to Wentworth Tuesday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk enters at 4-21 overall and 2-8 in CNE play.
  • Jack Mihalchik leads the Rams with a .306 average, 15 runs scored, nine RBI, and six stolen bases.
  • Sam Armbruster has a team-high 15 RBI while hitting .260 with 16 runs scored.
  • Luke Thornton is batting .284 with 15 runs scored, 10 RBI, and a .443 slugging percentage.
  • Colin Flynn has appeared in all 25 games, totaling 14 runs scored and 21 hits, including five doubles.
  • Suffolk will turn to Nick Rubin, who has logged 13.2 innings with 14 strikeouts across seven appearances this season.

EYES ON THE ENGINEERS 

  • MIT enters at 11-13 overall and 8-2 in NEWMAC play, winning four of its last five games, including a 9-1 win over Clark Tuesday.
  • Dalton Chi paces the lineup with a .379 average, 33 hits, and 19 stolen bases.
  • John Dwyer is hitting .396 with four home runs, 16 RBI, and a 1.136 OPS.
  • Zev Moore is batting .313 for 21 hits and 13 RBI. Maximo Del Pino is also hitting .313 with 21 hits for 18 RBI.
  • MIT is expected to turn to either Chase Rubin (4.26 ERA, 30 K in 31.2 IP) or Owen Malone (3.97 ERA, 9 K in 11.1 IP).
