Men’s Golf to Be Led by Bannon in 2020-21

BOSTON – William Bannon has been tabbed the sole captain of the 2020-21 Suffolk men's golf team, head coach Ed McMellen announced.

"I'm happy to have Billy leading the team this year," McMellen said. "He has been a solider leader throughout his career." 

Bannon, who has been out of the competitive rotation for the blue-and-gold the last two seasons, look to return to the green in the leadership role as a senior. The Arlington, Massachusetts, native's sole appearance on the course came as a rookie in 2017-18 at the Emmanuel Invitational where he aided to Suffolk's win of the quad-match. 

Not only will Bannon be looked upon to lead athletically, but academically, as the accounting major has proved to be a standout student with a pair of GNAC All-Academic Team honors.
