The sophomore's card of 78 with just six strokes over par (72) on the 6,684-yard Dunegrass Golf Club course good for a share of fourth in the 40-golfer field with Western New England's Ryan Zogby. He had the best performance of any CCC rookie in Old Orchard Beach.
Stanchieri is the first Suffolk men's golfer to take home a weekly honor from the CCC and first Ram to pick up a weekly accolade since Brian Dunleavey garnered GNAC Rookie of the Week status Sept. 17, 2018.
Suffolk and Stanchieri will take a break from competition until Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 9-10, when they head to the Hickory Ridge Country Club in Amherst, Massachusetts, for the Blazers Invitational.
