MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Suffolk men's golf participated in the 41st Duke Nelson Invitational over the weekend at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.
The Rams put together a 19th-place finish in the 20-team tournament behind a two-day tournament with a team score of 643. Amherst won the event with a 584, while Babson (588) and Middlebury (598) rounded out the top three teams.
Trey Connolly was the top blue-and-gold golfer. The senior shot a 76 (+5) and add 10 strokes to his Sunday score to finish with a 157, good for a share of 61st in the 106-golfer field.
Connolly's classmate Jonathan Donovan was just two strokes behind him with a 159, good for a tie of 72nd.
Junior Ryan Mollica locked up 98th with a 168.
Seniors Christopher Sinopoli (173) and Tyler Anastasi (174) were separated by one stroke apiece. The former shared 101st and the latter tied for 103rd.
Suffolk is back in action this Friday, Sept. 19 when it hosts the Battle for Boston Invitational at Canadia Woods Golf Links in Canadia, New Hampshire.
