Men’s Golf Finishes Fourth at RWU Invitational

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Suffolk men's golf opened its first multi-day event of the spring with a tied-for-fourth showing at the RWU Invitational, hosted by Roger Williams at Green Valley Country Club.

The Rams finished with a 36-hole team total of +74 to share fourth place in the nine-team field. Palm Beach State claimed the title at +43, followed by Roger Williams (+48) and Endicott (+66). Suffolk tied with Springfield at +74, as Gordon (+78), Nichols (+84), Rhode Island College (+85) and SUNY Old Westbury (+150) rounded out the standings.

Sophomore Michael Gallagher paced Suffolk with a two-round score of +10 to finish fifth overall. After opening with a two-over 73, Gallagher carded a 79 (+8) in round two to secure the top-five finish in the field.

Senior Trey Connolly followed with a +18 (79-81) to place 17th overall. Patricio Zapiain posted a +22 (83-81) to take 25th, and Josh Gross rounded out the Rams' scoring four with a +24 (81-85), placing 31st.

Perry Gaudreau (+29, 83-88) and Jack Robinson (+43, 92-93) also competed for Suffolk over the two-day event.

Suffolk returns to the course this weekend at the RIC Invitational, set for April 17-18 at Valley Country Club in Warwick, Rhode Island.
