BOSTON – For the third straight year all three of Suffolk University's winter varsity sports teams – men's basketball, ice hockey and women's basketball – will be vying for conference championship glory as they compete this week in post-season action.
For the first time since 2008 two of Suffolk's teams have earned high enough seeds to host quarterfinal action.
Women's basketball gets things started in the GNAC Women's Quarterfinal Tuesday, Feb. 23 inside Regan Gymnasium when the Rams entertain fifth-seeded Norwich at 7 p.m.

The men's basketball team is also in action Tuesday night. The seventh-seeded Rams travel to second-seed Lasell for a 7 p.m. tip. The game is a highly anticipated rematch of Saturday's 67-66 thrilling victory. Adam Chick buried a freebie with one second on the clock to push Suffolk to the win and to the tournament's seventh seed.

In ECAC Northeast action, hockey has garnered the fourth seed thanks to 8-6-2 conference ledger and will meet fifth-seeded Wentworth this weekend. A time and place of the contest has yet to be determined. This will be the third match-up this season between the Rams and Leopards and the first post-season showdown for the teams since Suffolk's last tournament hosting job in 2008. The Rams defeated Wentworth, 3-2, in overtime in 2008.
