LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's hockey team rallied off three goals in the second-period to hold off Wentworth 5-2 on Saturday night inside Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk ended the 2017 portion of its schedule with a victory to take a 6-6-1 record into the second half of the season.
Underclassmen have anchored the Rams' 2.77 goals per game attack with sophomore Brian Brooks and freshman Matt Bucher each owning 11 points on their stat line. Brooks boasts four goals and a team-high seven assists, while Bucher has five markers and six handouts to his credit. Rookie Joseph Mortillaro leads the team in goals with six to go along with one helper for seven points, tying junior Mikhail Bryan (3g, 4a) for third on the team in points.
In net, Michael Levine has notched 363 saves in 11 appearances. The junior holds a .931 save percentage, which lands third amongst his conference counterparts, and he brings in a 2.64 GAA.
VIKINGS VIEW
Salem State wrapped up first semester action against CCC and national powerhouse Endicott. The Vikings fell to the Gull, 8-2, to bring a 5-6-0 record into Wednesday night.
The Vikings rely on a quartet of seniors for their offensive output with Casey Miller's 12 points on three goals and a team-best nine helpers leading the way. Mackenzie Cook (8g, 3a) and Derek Makimma (6g, 5a) have each racked up 11 points with Cook as the team's best scorer with eight goals to his credit. Ryan Wilkinson rounds out the four pack with four markers and four assists for eight points.
Similar to its offense, Salem calls on Jason Pucciarelli to hold down its defense with the senior serving as the Vikings main backstop in 11 contests. Overall he brings in a .900 save percentage with 429 shots faced and 386 saves for a 4.03 GAA.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Suffolk, Salem State rivalry is fairly new since 1999 with the Rams and Vikings meeting just three times over the last three seasons. Salem State picked up the first two decisions, but last year the Rams late comeback forced a 4-4 tie. Suffolk, who looks for its first win over SSU dating back to 1999, trails the all-time series, 0-2-1.
EYES ON THE GAME
STREAKING
Brian Brooks has recorded at least one point in the last eight games. Over that stretch, the sophomore has notched 10 points on four goals and six assists.
Mikhail Bryan (3g) and Matt Bucher (1g, 2a) have each notched at least one point in the last two outings to take a two-game point streak into Wednesday night.

Suffolk remains at home and in out-of-league action Saturday, Jan. 6 when the Rams entertain Franklin Pierce in a 7:30 p.m. puck drop.
