Men’s Hockey Takes Win Streak into Home-and-Home with No. 10 Curry
On its longest win streak since 2017, Suffolk men’s hockey looks to keep its winning ways going this weekend as it takes on No. 10 Curry in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) home-and-home series. The Rams hit the road Friday, Jan. 20 for a 7 p.m. clash, before the colonels stop by Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink for a rematch Saturday, Jan. 21 at 4:50 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Less than 24 hours after the Rams took down the Leopards in overtime, 2-1, at Porrazzo Rink, Suffolk men's hockey did it again as Ryan Webb's goal at 2:54 in the extra session Saturday afternoon lifted the blue-and-gold to the Commonwealth Coast Conference victory by an identical score at Allied Veterans Memorial Rink.
Webb, who aided in the Rams game-winner the night before, factored into both of Suffolk's goals Saturday afternoon.

SUFFOLK SCORES
RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is unbeaten (3-0-2) in its last five games with four straight wins, the most victories in a row since, Nov. 16-26, 2017, to carry a 5-7-2 overall record and 3-7-1 CCC mark into the weekend series.
The Rams, who have outscored their opponents, 11-6, in the last four games, have found the back of the net 29 times this season. Ryan Webb paces the blue-and-gold's offensive attack with his 12-point stat line split between four goals and eight helpers. Griffin Clark owns an eight-point stat line evenly divided between markers (4) and handouts (4). Ryan Harrigan and Max Rand have identical 6-point stat lines of three goals and three assists.
Cal Wilcox has played the bulk of time in net. The senior sports a 2.72 GAA and .918 save percentage in his 13 games played.
COLONELS CATCH-UP
Curry (13-2-0, 9-2-0 CCC), who enters the week at No. 10 on the latest USCHO.com poll, rides an eight-game win streak that dates to December into the weekend.
A trio of skaters – Timmy Kent (10g, 16a), Nick Favaro (7g, 15a) and Mark Zhukov (6g, 14a) -- have surpassed the 20-point plateau to pace the Colonels' 72-goal offense.
Reid Cooper is the usual starter for the Colonels. He sports a 1.86 GAA and .932 save percentage in his 13 appearances. Roland Polasek has skated in three games with two starts under his belt. He holds a 2.30 GAAA and .902 save percentage.

- Since the 1999-2000 season, Suffolk trails the all-time series with Curry, 5-29-3.
