HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk got on the board first as Ryan Webb scored on assists from Gavin Havens and Olle Akermark at the 13:09 mark. Endicott evened the score with seven seconds left in the opening period on the power play to send the teams into the locker room even at 1-all.
The Gulls took the upper handed with a pair of goals in the first 2:18 of the second period to put the blue-and-gold in a 3-1 hole.
Ralph Berry's shorthanded strike 2:12 later got the margin down to one. Will MacNeil aided in the Rams second goal of the day.
Endicott restored the two-goal gap 8:24 into the third and Suffolk could not catch up from there.
NETMINDER NOTES
- CJ Hapward had 43 saves in the setback.
- Ryan Wilson logged an 22-stop effort in the win.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Webb and Berry each scored for Suffolk. The latter's was shorthanded.
- Akermark. MacNeil and Havens had one assist apiece.
- Endicott outshot Suffolk, 47-20.
- The Gulls won the face-off battle, 45-28.
