BEVERLY, Mass. – Bobby Lachance of the Suffolk men's ice hockey team was recognized as Conference of New England (CNE) Rookie of the Week after a one-goal, one-assist effort a 1-1-0 weekend for the Rams, the league office announced Monday.
The forward from West Hartford, Connecticut, opened the week with one assist at then-No. 5/6 Curry Friday, and potted the game-winner in a 7-2 lopsided triumph over Roger Williams a day later.
Lahance has logged at least one point in all, but one of Suffolk's five games this season. He currently shares second on the squad in points with six with Nolan Leonard behind three goals and three assists.
The freshman is the best rookie in a seven-day span from Suffolk's squad since Leonard picked up the honor Jan. 21, 2025. He is the first Ram to collect a CNE weekly award since CJ Hapward garnered CNE Goaltender of the Week Feb. 18, 2025.
Lachance and Suffolk is back in action later this week in a home-and-home series with No. 12 Endicott. The Rams travel to Beverly, Massachusetts Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m., with a rematch in Eastie scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21 at 5:00 p.m.
