Voyatzis and McNicholas Earn CNE Weekly Recognition

CNE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk men's ice hockey forward Dimitri Voyatzis was named Conference of New England (CNE) Player of the Week, and netminder Austin McNicholas earned CNE Goaltender of the Week honors following the Rams' weekend sweep of Nichols, the league office announced Monday.

Voyatzis led the Rams offensively with five points on the weekend. The sophomore recorded one assist in the 6-2 triumph on Friday before erupting for a career-high four points in the 5-1 victory on Saturday with one strike and three helpers. The honor marks Voyatzis' first career CNE weekly award in a blue-and-gold sweater and second overall, having previously earned CNE Rookie of the Week on Jan. 6, 2025, while with Nichols. He also becomes the fourth different Ram to earn a conference weekly honor this season and the first Suffolk skater to be named player of the week since Aidan O'Connell on Jan. 20, 2026.

McNicholas was stellar between the pipes, stopping 52 shots across the two games for a combined .945 save percentage and 1.50 goals against average. The honor marks McNicholas' fourth CNE weekly award of the season and his first since taking home the best goaltender in a seven-day span Jan. 20, 2026.

With Voyatzis and McNicholas earning weekly recognition, Suffolk has now collected seven CNE weekly awards on the year.

Suffolk returns to the ice on Tuesday, Feb. 10, when the Rams host Framingham State on Senior Night at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink at 6:00 p.m.
