UNITED SOCCER COACHES REGION II POLL
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Suffolk men's soccer has appeared in the United Soccer Coaches Regional rankings for the first time this season as the Rams landed eighth in Region II in the fifth poll of the year, the national organization announced Tuesday.
The Rams strung back-to-back Conference of New England (CNE) victories together as it bested the University of New England, 2-1, before shutting out Hartford, 2-0. Suffolk's win streak was snapped yesterday afternoon by No. 11 Babson, who tops the Region II Poll this week.
It is the first time Bill Maddock's team was featured on the regional rankings this season. Suffolk spent all of last season in the regional ranks after making the program debut in Poll 1, Sept. 12, 2023.
The Rams are one of three CNE programs in Region II as Endicott and Gordon are fourth and sixth, respectively.
Suffolk aims to bounce back from its loss to the Beavers and remain unbeaten in CNE contests this Saturday, Oct. 12 when it travels to Springfield, Massachusetts for a showdown with Western New England. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
