BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer starts a three-game road trip Saturday, Sept. 6 when it travels to Husson. The Rams and Eagles are scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's soccer team battled the reigning NCAA Division III National Champion, No. 1 Amherst to a scoreless draw Tuesday night at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk sits 0-1-1 on the year after falling to Brandeis, 1-0, and tying No. 1 Amherst, 0-0. 
  • Zach Vlachos has scored the Rams only goal on the year. 
  • Christian Gardner has one assist, the only blue-and-gold player to set-up a strike through the first two games. 
  • Ian Caldwell has defended the net in the first two outings of the season. The sophomores holds a .714 save percentage and 1.00 GAA with one shutout to his credit.   

EYES ON THE EAGLES

  • Like Suffolk, Husson is 0-1-1 on the year after playing the Rams' CNE counterparts Endicott (L, 3-0) and Gordon (T, 1-1). 
  • Miguel Diaz Alvarez netted Husson's only goal this year thanks to help from Lucas Alabiso, who has the team's only assist. 
  • Garrett Jordan (3.00 GAA, .500 save%) and Liam Mason (1.00 GAA, .800 save%) have each started one game in net for the Eagles.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk sits 0-2-0 in the series with Husson that dates back to Sept. 1, 2015. 
  • The Rams renewed a rivalry with the Eagles a year ago and fell, 2-1, Sept. 7, 2024.
  • Suffolk has only played Husson in Eastie, 0-2-0. 
  • The Rams will compete versus the Eagles on the road for the first time. 
  • Both battles between Suffolk and Husson have ended via one-goal margins. 
  • There has never been a shutout in the series.

RamFest is part of Suffolk Weekend, which brings together the entire University community. The weekend is the perfect opportunity for members of the Suffolk community and their families to reconnect or get acclimated with Suffolk, reminisce with old friends, make new ones and enjoy beautiful Boston in the fall. Following Rammy's Fun Run, the family friendly fan fest festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. An afternoon of community, entertainment and school spirit is in store. Event highlights include: 

  • A variety of food trucks with local favorites
  • Live performances by Suffolk University's house band The Common
  • Men's and Women's Soccer Games – support the Rams on their Senior Days! 
  • Cornhole Tournament – register with a teammate to or get paired day-of 
  • Axe Throwing and Gladiator Joust for some friendly competition
  • Yard games and airbrush pennants to round out the fun

Tickets are required to participate in RamFest and grants you access to food trucks and activities at the fields throughout the afternoon. Alumni, family and friends can purchase their $20 tickets here.
