BOSTON – In a Title Town Tuesday tilt, Suffolk men's soccer came to a 2-2 draw against its Beantown rival Emmanuel at Roberto Clemente Field. The Rams took a two-goal lead before the Saints scored two unanswered for the stalemate.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In a Suffolk dominated first half, the Rams could not figure out Emmanuel's keeper Owen Silva as he stopped all six attempts on target to hold things scoreless at halftime.
- Mohamed Mehaya broke through in the 57th minute as he snuck an unassisted tallying to the low right of the net.
- About seven minutes later, Zach Vlachos doubled the distance for the blue-and-gold as he found the back of the net with no help to make it 2-0 Rams at the 64:21 mark.
- The Saints sliced the gap in half 1:07 later when Jacob Beck scored with help from Jaylen Goodall.
- The Rams managed to cling onto the upperhand until Goodall put his own goal away for Emmanuel to lock things up at 2-all with 5:59 remaining.
- Suffolk was unable to get another shot off the rest of the way and the host's last-ditch effort in the final second by Beck missed left to keep things even at 2-2 at the final horn.
KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS
- Ian Caldwell played all night in net for the Rams in the tie.
- Silva stopped nine shots for the Saints.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Mehaya and Vlachos were responsible for Suffolk's strikes, both unassisted.
- Shots were Suffolk heavy, 22-8, including a lopsided 11-2 shots on goal advantage for the blue-and-gold.
- The Rams took both corners in the contests.
- The blue-and-gold was whistled for offsides four times compared Emmanuel's one offside call.
NOTEWORTHY
- Suffolk and Emmanuel met for the 22nd time Tuesday night.
- The Rams moved to 13-8-2 all-time versus the Saints.
- Suffolk is unbeaten in the last three meetings with Emmanuel, 2-0-1.
- On the road, the Rams dipped to 6-3-2 at Emmanuel.
