EAST BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer closed its non-conference chapter of 2025 in shutout fashion as it blanked Framingham State, 4-0, Tuesday night at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park. The blue-and-gold overpowered the visiting Rams, out shooting the foes, 43-5.
THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 4 | Framingham State 0
RECORDS: Suffolk (8-2-2) | Framingham State (4-7-1)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Suffolk broke open the scoring in the 18th minute as the host Rams progressively passed the ball down the right sideline. Dylan Trachtenberg started with the rock, lobbed it ahead to Zach Vlacho, who one touched it to Mohamed Mehaya. The freshman forward easily scored with a flick of the foot for the 1-0 early edge.
- Exactly three minutes later, Mehaya's second strike of the day doubled the distance. Rookie Logan Hawleydribbled by multiple Framingham State defenders and slipped the ball to Mehaya, who nearly mirrored his first snipe with a quick shot that coasted by Colin Holt.
- The Rams stretched the gap just about nine minutes in to the second stanza. Tracthenberg took the ball down the right sideline and sniped a shot from about 15 yards out that knocked off the cross bar. The rebound landed in front of Oliver Heth, who wasted no time with a put back. Heth's attempt deflected off Diego Pierantozzi's back heel and into the back of the twine to cushion the blue-and-gold's advantage to 3-0.
- Persistence paid off for Francisco Valck as the junior converted his fourth shot of the night into his third goal of the season. The forward turned defense into offense as he stole the ball in transition and finished with his right foot from about five yards out with just under 10 minutes left on the clock in the contest.
