BOSTON – Suffolk men's tennis returns to action Tuesday, March 24 at Western New England. The Conference of New England (CNE) contest is set for a 3:30 p.m. first serve at Forest Park at The Springfield Tennis Club.

Suffolk men's tennis found its way into the win column as it defeated Saint Joseph (Conn.) in a back-and-forth Conference of New England (CN)E battle Saturday afternoon at the Elizabeth Ferry Speer Tennis Complex.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk is 1-1 on the year with an identical CNE ledger. 
  • The Rams' lone win of the season came via a 4-3 decision at St. Joseph (Conn.) Saturday, March 21. 
  • Christian Gardner is unbeaten as the blue-and-gold's ace at 1-0 and partnered with Abhi Patel for an undefeated 1-0 doubles mark. 
  • Patel, meanwhile, is 1-1 on the season in singles and doubles play. In singles, has split time at No. 1 (0-1) and No. 2 (1-0). On top of his partnership with Gardner, he has also teamed up with Ishmam Amin in doubles action.

GOLDEN BEARS GLANCE

  • Western New England sits 2-6 on the year and 0-1 in CNE action after being swept by Endicott over the weekend. 
  • Colby Espositio has played exclusively as the Golden Bears ace and boasts a 2-6 ledger. 
  • Nolan Jermain is the winningest singles player at 3-5 all of which have come in the fourth spot. 
  • Michael Abizaid Nunez (courts three and five), Eston Fowler (courts three and six) and Quinn Northrop (court two) are 2-6 in singles action as well. 
  • In doubles, Esposito and Abizaid Nunez team up for WNE's top team and have combined for a 1-6 mark.
