Men’s Tennis Edged Out by Endicott, 6-1

BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk men's tennis dropped a Conference of New England (CNE) decision to Endicott, 6-1, Saturday afternoon at the South Campus Courts on the Gulls' campus.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Endicott swept doubles play to bring a 1-0 lead into singles action. 
  • The Gulls quickly locked up the match as they took courts five, six, three and four, in that order. 
  • Christian Gardner managed to put the blue-and-gold on the board as he bested Ethan Hopman, 6-2, 6-2, in the second slot. 
  • Abhi Patel and Drew Benprath needed a tiebreaker to decide the winner from court one, that ultimately ended Benprath's favor, 3-6, 6-1, 11-9, for the 6-1 final.
