BOSTON – Suffolk men's indoor track & field had three Rams set four personal records including a program record at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic Saturday.
Tim Barry highlighted the group as the senior rewrote his own school record in the mile with an impressive 4:08.91, which sits as the fourth-best time in NCAA Division III this season.
Two other long distance runners set career-highs in the 3000. Thomas Novy's PR of 8:34.76 sealed the senior's spot at New Englands, while Hayden Green put together personal-record of 8:47.12. Sean Jacobsenjoined Novy and Green in the event as well and crossed the line in 9:26.64.
Nathan Fernandes reset a pair of records. In the 200 he produced a 23.19 and ran the 400 in a 51.73. Michael Nossek (23.07) joined Fernandes in the 200 and Joshua Durand (52.88) ran a full lap around the track as well. Nossek also competed in the 60 (7.23).
Kely Maloney produced a 2:01.10 in the 800.
Tighe Hosman was the runner-up in the 60 hurdles with a 9.27 showing.
Fernandes, Nosske, Hosman and Durand combined efforts in the 4x400.
Michael Makiej competed in the high jump and cleared 1.91 meters.
Suffolk has three events in store next weekend: Tufts Cupid Challenge, Crimson Open and Bruce Lehane Scarlett & White Invite.
