LOWELL, Mass. – Suffolk men's outdoor track & field kicked off the 2026 campaign at the D'Armour Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell at the Cushing Field Complex on Friday.
RAMS RUNNERS
- The 100 meters featured Charlie Billard, who sprinted to an 11.85 finish, with Marco Gomez (12.58) and Cormac O'Brien (12.89) close behind.
- In the 200 meters, Billard again led the Suffolk pack, crossing in 24.03, followed by Gomez (26.26) and O'Brien (27.03).
- Connor Johnson tackled the 400m hurdles for the first time, finishing eighth in 1:01.23.
- Sebastian Vickers-Richard led the way in the 1500 in 4:41.06. Eric Anderson finished in 4:48.39, and Michael Najarian crossed in 4:49.88.
JUMPERS JIST
- Joshua Catino soared 3.40 meters in the pole vault to secure sixth place.
FIELDERS FACTS
- George Mirogiannis heaved the hammer 28.61 meters to place 10th, while Connor Brown followed with a 25.70 meter toss.
- In the javelin, Mirogiannis uncorked a throw of 40.06 meters for 11th place.
- Brown tossed the shot put 9.91 meters, earning a 14th-place finish.
RAMS RECORDS
- Brown set a new personal-best in the shot put with his 9.91 meter toss.
YOU'RE NEW HERE
- Mirogiannis made his collegiate debut in both the hammer throw and javelin.
- Billard and Gomez debuted in the 100 and 200 meters.
- Anderson and Najarian each made their collegiate debuts in the 1500 meters.
