Co-Captains to Lead 2025 Men’s Cross Country

BOSTON – Suffolk men's cross country will see a pair of Rams share the captain role as seniors Hayden Green and Sean Jacobsen have been named co-captains for the 2025 campaign by head coach Will Feldman.

Both Green and Jacobsen earned the title for the first time in their collegiate careers and mark the first duo captains since Tim Barry and Kely Maloney shared the role in 2023.

"They've been consistent scorers for us over the last three seasons, and both have earned all-conference honors over the years," Feldman said. "They are going to be out front leading us at meet day, and setting the tone every day at practice. I know they are going to give the team everything they have this season."

Green, who hails from Redondo Beach, California, raced to U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association All-East region a year ago, has garnered all-league distinction each of his three seasons leading up to his last campaign in blue-and-gold.

Jacobsen, meanwhile, brought his talents to Beacon Hill from Tucson, Arizona, and rewrote his personal-best in the 5k and 8k last season en route to a spot on the Conference of New England Community Service Team.

With Green and Jacobsen in the line-up, the Rams have ran to runner-up states as the last four conference championship and aim to clinch the league title for the first time.

Suffolk's 2025 season is set to get underway Saturday, Aug. 30 at the Suffolk Short Course Classic in Attleboro, Massachusetts at Highland Park.
