Men’s Cross Country Competes at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. — The Suffolk men's cross country team placed 24th at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course on Saturday morning.

The Rams combined for 709 points in the Robert 'Buddy' Harris' 8k and a total time of 2:19:57 to take 24th in the 32-team field that was led by Boston University.

RAMS RECORDS

  • Shannon set a personal-best time of 28:21:5. The sophomore beat his previous time by over 90 seconds (29:44:17).
  • Najarian (32:02:7) and Vickers-Richard (28:59:8) set personal-bests in the 8k, as well.

DEBUTS

  • Anderson and Ramarge raced in their first collegiate 8k.

NOTEWORTHY

  • The Rams raced at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational for the sixth time in program history and the first since 2022.
  • Jacobsen and Najarian raced at the event for the second time in their careers, while the rest of the Rams appeared at the annual meet for the first time.
