BEVELRY, Mass. – Matthew Ramarge of the Suffolk men's cross country received Conference of New England (CNE) Rookie of the Week after his effort at the 52nd UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
Ramarge ran his first collegiate 8k in 27:50.01 to see the Leesburg, Virigina native in the 253-runner field.
The weekly distinction marks a first for Ramarge and is the first for Suffolk since Tim Barry was tabbed CNE Runner of the Week Oct. 7, 2024. He is the first freshman to be tabbed the best rookie in a seven-day span since Declan Shannon took home CNE Rookie of the Week Oct. 14.
Suffolk and Ramarge will take their talents to Colfax, Wisconsin, for the Blugold Invite Friday, Oct. 3.
