BOSTON – Suffolk softball is set to pick up where it left off at Endicott April 15 Thursday, May 1 at 4:00 p.m. The halted game between the Rams and Gulls will resume in the middle of the fourth with the blue-and-gold in front, 3-0.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk softball fell to Worcester State, 14-5, in mercy-rule fashion in the nightcap of a double feature Tuesday at Rahl Raymond Diamond.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk softball was swept by Worcester State on Tuesday to dip to 15-18 on the year. In CNE action, the Rams have split its last four doubleheaders to hold a 9-6 league ledger.
Catherine Carignan has been the most powerful and consistent bat for Suffolk this season with a team-best 42 hits, 11 of which were good for extra bases, for 15 RBI and 23 runs scored, which sits atop the squad. Julia Mills (36 H, 18 RBI, 17 R) and Lily Gustafson (30 H, 10 RBI, 15 RBI) have been usual topics of conversation offensively for the blue-and-gold as well.
Lily Newhall (94.2 IP, 2.59 ERA, 43 K) and Cynthia Rucinski (79.0 IP, 3.46 ERA, 46 K) are the usual starters in the circle for the Rams.
GET TO KNOW THE GULLS
Endicott has coupled back-to-back wins together to bring a 19-12 overall mark and 12-3 CNE record into Thursday's action.
Chloe Shapleigh has been a powerful bat for the Gulls with 28 hits for 30 RBI to go along with 15 runs scored. Elysa Saccoccio (32 H, 18 RBI, 27 R), Abby McClaflin (30 H, 18 RBI, 26 R) and Christina Nowicki (29 H, 17 RBI, 31 R) are topics of conversation offensively for Endicott as well.
Jaylin Couto (58.2 IP, 3.22 ERA, 53 K) and Kristen Beebe (52.1 IP, 2.81 ERA, 65 K) are the go-to starters for the Gulls on the rubber. Analise Grady, meanwhile, has seen the most action with 64.1 innings over 17 appearances and eight starts. She holds a 2.94 ERA with 44 punchouts.
WHERE WE LEFT OFF
Suffolk softball held onto a 3-0 lead over Endicott in the nightcap of a Conference of New England (CNE) double feature with 3.5 innings in the book before rain caused unplayable conditions and forced the league outing to be halted April 15.

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk softball took a one-run lead into the top of the seventh, but a fielding mishap by the Rams resulted in three runs for the Gulls, which allowed Endicott to take the first game of a Conference of New England (CNE) doubleheader, 6-4, April 15.
