BOSTON – Suffolk softball takes its talents to West Springfield, Massachusetts this Saturday, May 3 where it will wrap up its regular season with a Conference of New England double feature at Western New England.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk softball resumed its suspended game with Endicott in dramatic fashion as the Rams won the Conference of New England (CNE) clash in walk-off fashion in the eighth-inning Thursday afternoon at the Gulls' Softball Complex.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has split its last six conference doubleheaders to head into Saturday 16-18 on the season and 10-6 in CNE action.  

Catherine Carignan has proven to be the most powerful bat for the Rams this year with 44 hits, 16 RBI and 25 runs scored. Julia Mills (37 H, 20 RBI, 17 R) and Lily Gustafson (33 H, 11 RBI, 17 R) have supplied 30-plus hits to the blue-and-gold's plate production.  

Lily Newhall (100.1 IP, 50 K, 2.86 ERA) and Cynthia Rucinski (81.1 IP, 46 K, 3.36 ERA) are the usual starters in the circle for the blue-and-gold.  

GET TO KNOW THE GOLDEN BEARS
Western New England split its last two doubleheaders to bring a 20-15-1 and 9-6-1 CNE mark into Saturday's showdown.  

Alex Ferriuolo has been productive at the plate for the Golden Bears with a team-best 25 RBI on 32 hits including 10 doubles, one triple and four jacks. She has scored 19 runs herself. Riley Kane (20 RBI, 21 R) and Angelees (17 RBI, 26 R) have produced 332 hits apiece as well, while Marley Rodriguez has registered 41 hits, 19 RBI and 24 runs.   

Kane is a go-to twirler for WNE. She has assembled a 2.32 ERA over 120.2 innings with 58 strikeouts. Ava Blanchard is the other starter for the Golden Bears and holds a 2.70 ERA over 98.2 innings with 66 punchouts.
