BRISTOL, R.I. – Suffolk softball fell to Roger Williams, 6-0, in game two of a Conference of New England (CNE) double feature Sunday at Paolino Field. The Rams' bats were limited to four hits, while the Hawks went yard twice.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Roger Williams' used Skye Merrow's one-run double that brought in Madison Tucholski, who singled, to get on the board. Merrow then came in when Hailey Williams blasted a ball over the left field fence for the 3-0 margin.
- Suffolk managed to get one base runner over the next three innings but stranded the Rams there to remain scoreless.
- The Hawks extended their edge in the home half of the fifth. Lucy Maurao singled and Shannon Staratt doubled to put two ducks on second and third. Two batters later, McKenzie Foley collected one RBI on a sac fly to right before Kayleigh O'Connor's tripled plated Starratt to push the distance to 5-0.
- Another blue-and-gold jersey was stranded in the sixth, before Williams went yard for the second time on the day, which lengthened Roger Williams' lead to 6-0.
- In the seventh, a fielding error by the Hawks' first baseman when Lily Newhall put the ball in play allowed Suffolk to get one base runner. Once again, she would be kept there as the next two batters went down to keep the six-run gap at the final.
PITCHERS PICTURE
- Cynthia Rucinski registered the loss as she gave up six runs on 11 hits and one walk with six strikeouts through 6.0 innings.
- Natalie Lundari picked up the win with a four-hit, one-walk, two-punchout, complete-game performance.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Dana Still went 2-for-3.
- Newhall had one hit, a triple.
- Claire Basaldua added on hit.
- Catherine Carignan worked the lone walk for Suffolk.
NOTEWORTHY
- Today's decision was the fourth shutout in the series between Suffolk and Roger Williams.
- The Rams are now 1-3 in shutout decisions with RWU.
- Newhall had the third triple of her collegiate career.
- Still pushed her hit streak to 11 games. Over that span she has 15 hits.

Suffolk is set to entertain Hartford next Saturday, April 18 in a league twin bill with game one set for noon.
