BOSTON – Suffolk softball continues Conference of New England (CNE) play this weekend with a busy two-stop slate, hosting Hartford on Saturday, April 18 at Griswold Field before hitting the road to face Curry on Sunday, April 19. Both doubleheaders are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. start.

Suffolk softball fell to Roger Williams, 6-0, in game two of a Conference of New England (CNE) double feature Sunday at Paolino Field. The Rams' bats were limited to four hits, while the Hawks went yard twice.

RAMS RUNDOWN

• Suffolk carries a 14-13 overall record and 5-5 CNE mark into the weekend after being swept by Roger Williams last Sunday. 
• Ava Lanza (.319, 30 hits, 14 RBI), Jolie Quintana (.301, 28 hits, 8 RBI), and Julia Mills (.307, 27 hits, 19 RBI) continue to set the tone at the top of the lineup for Suffolk.
• Catherine Carignan remains one of the Rams' most dangerous clean-up batters, leading the team with 25 RBI with six doubles and three home runs on the season.
• Lily Newhall has been a key two-way presence for Suffolk, batting .320 with three home runs and 16 RBI at the plate, while also contributing significantly in the circle with a 7-6 record with a 3.64 ERA across 82.2 innings.
• Cynthia Rucinski rounds out the rotation, leading the conference with 86 strikeouts across 99.2 innings pitched.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS

• Hartford enters Saturday's doubleheader at 14-12 overall and 7-5 in CNE play following non-conference losses to No. 15 WPI earlier this week.
• The Hawks feature a powerful core in the lineup, led by Katrina Baran (.392, 29 hits, 10 RBI), Gia Miccio (.338, 17 RBI), and Alyssa Edwards (.368, 6 HR, 21 RBI).
• Hartford leans on the duo of Carly Mayhood (4.00 ERA, 54 K) and Ella Zobel (4.04 ERA, 46 K) in the circle.

• Kassidy Lobb (5.54 ERA, 72.0 IP) serves as the staff's primary arm. Barmash (3.89 ERA, 45.0 IP, 15K) and Ana Tsonis (4.01 ERA, 29.2 IP) has also handled a significant portion of the workload in the rotation.
