Still Selected to All-CNE Second-Team

Still Selected to All-CNE Second-Team

CNE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk softball's Dana Still wrapped up her first collegiate campaign with a spot on the All-Conference of New England Second-Team, the league office announced Tuesday.

The accolade comes on the heels of a standout freshman campaign that she helped the blue-and-gold compile a 19-18 overall mark and .500 (10-10) ledger versus CNE counterparts.

The New Boston, New Hampshire native supplied 39 hits behind a .309/.383/.383 slash line. Of her 29 hits, seven were good for extra bases, all doubles. The right-handed hitter brought in 17 runs and scored 20 herself and was swift on the base paths with seven swiped bags in 10 attempts. Her offensive output featured a 13-game hit streak from March 26-April 18. Over that span she recorded 18 knocks.

The outfielder had one of the most productive gloves with a .947 fielding percentage with 53 putouts in 57 total chances.

Still is the first freshman to scoop up an all-conference honor since Jolie Quintana was recognized as the league's rookie of the year and a second-team selection in 2022.

On top of the all-conference honors, junior Gianna Missiti was awarded a spot on the CNE Community Service Team, which recognizes student-athletes on every member institution's squad that demonstrates a commitment to their community.

Since joining the CNE ranks in 2021, Suffolk has picked up 14 awards from the league including one rookie of the year, two first-team nods, seven second-team sections and four third-team picks. Of those, four have come under head coach Megan Cook's guidance (one first-team, two second-team, one third-team).
