Saturday Sends Women’s Basketball to Eastern Nazarene

BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball takes its three-game win streak to Eastern Nazarene for its non-conference finale Saturday, Feb. 8. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Alexis Hackett sealed her spot atop the Rams all-time rebounding list as Suffolk women's basketball downed Saint Joseph's (Maine), 64-49, Tuesday night at Simmons' Moore Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has rattled off three straight wins to head to Saturday's showdown 14-6 on the season. 

The trio of Jenni-Rose DiCecco, Gabriella DeComo andAlexis Hackett anchor the Rams' 64.8 ppg scoring unit. DiCecco's 15.2 ppg leads the way with DeComo and Hackett supplying 11.1 ppg and 10.2 ppg, respectively. 

Defensively, Hackett takes the bulk of Suffolk's 41.5 rpg with 9.6 rpg to her credit. The senior is consistently helped on the glass by Emily Welling's 4.7 rpg and DiCecco's 4.6 rpg. 

LIONS LOOK
Eastern Nazarene traded a loss 70-58 loss to Becker with an 81-20 win over Lesley to open February action and improve to 16-2 on the year.  

The Lions' 74.4 ppg offense sees a pair of players in double figures in Stevie Orton (15.5 ppg) and Kyra Fleharty (10.3 ppg). Jenn Burnham chips in 8.1 ppg to the offensive output. 

Orton anchors Eastern Nazarene on the boards with 6.4 rpg to her credit. Fleharty adds 4.9 rpg and Bailey Craig chips in 4.0 rpg to the Lions' 46.3 rpg effort.

• Suffolk and Eastern Nazarene met every year from 1990-2000. 
• The Rams, who lead the series with the Lions, 6-4, renew the rivalry with the first outing since the new millennium.
