BOSTON – A tight contest slipped away in the final ten minutes as a difficult fourth quarter proved to be costly for the Suffolk women's basketball team as it dropped a 65-56 decision to Endicott in Conference of New England (CNE) play Tuesday evening at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Allison Bono spearheaded a quick 7-2 start for the Rams with five points. Endicott returned with an 11-2 run that included a basket from every Gull starter to take a 13-9 advantage halfway through the first quarter. Bono and Ava Thurman provided five points each as Suffolk responded with a 14-4 spurt to lead 23-17 after one.
- An and-1 layup from Tatiana Tune and three-pointer from Claire Berkowitz gave Suffolk its largest lead of the night at 29-22 and forced Endicott into a timeout with 8:08 to play in the first half. The Gulls picked up the defensive intensity as they ended the half with a 13-6 stretch to tie the game for the seventh time on the night at 35-all as the game transitioned to halftime.
- The Gulls grabbed the first five points of the half, but the Rams responded with an 11-2 run, which included points from five separate players to recapture the lead at 46-42. Endicott forced the 10th lead change before the end of the quarter off a 12-4 stretch to take a 54-50 edge into the final stanza.
- The Gulls outscored the Rams 11-6 in the fourth frame to take the contest 65-56.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Bono led Suffolk with 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
- Tune trailed with 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting and five boards.
- Mia Corazzini pitched in eight points and grabbed eight rebounds.
NOTEWORTHY
- Berkowitz pulled down a career-best seven boards.
- Corazzini poured in a career-high eight points.
