Crafted in 1922 from 160 acres of slopping wooded terrain by the legendary Donald Ross, the Orchards is a hidden gem of a course. The 72-par course has hosted multiple championships events including the 1987 US Women's Junior Championship, the Massachusetts State Men's Amateur Championship, 2002 NCAA Women's Division III Finals, the 2004 US Women's Open and the 2010 Massachusetts Senior Four-Ball Championship.

A 15-team field will vie for the Mt. Holyoke Invitational title. Joining the Rams on the green at The Orchards Golf Club are fellow Empire 8 members Johnson & Wales, Rhode Island College and Westfield State. Amherst, Bowdoin, Drew, Hamilton, Ithaca, Manhattanville, Middlebury, NYU, Trinity, Wellesley and Williams will also compete in the shot-gun style tournament along with the hosts, Mt. Holyoke.

Next weekend, Suffolk returns to the Empire State where it will tee off at the Martin and Wallace Invitational at the Cortland Country Club in Courtland, New York.
