Women’s Golf Foursome Earns WGCA All-American Scholars

FRISCO, Texas – For the third time in as many years, Suffolk women's golf had student-athletes pick up All-American Scholar recognition from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), the national organization. Four member of the Rams roster in Brooke Bugajewkis, Emory Goodson, Alexia Hill and Krisna Mahendran scooped up the honor. 

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team is some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continues to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must:

• Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher
• Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season
• Have played in 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship

In total, 1,586 women's collegiate golfers from 423 programs, including 79 from NCAA Division III took home the prestigious honor. Suffolk was the of two Conference of New England (CNE) teams to make the list as Hartford had a trio of student-athletes collect the feat. 

Since 2023-24, Suffolk has seen eight student-athletes combine for 13 All-American Scholar distinctions from the WGCA. Bugajewski is the most decorated Ram in the category three her third in her career and in as many years. Goodson and Mahendran were selected for the second straight season and Hill received the nod for the first time.
