Wasylk’s Buffalo Beauts Shirsey’s Sale to Benefit Suffolk CARES

Wasylk’s Buffalo Beauts Shirsey’s Sale to Benefit Suffolk CARES

BOSTON – For the second straight season, Suffolk women's hockey head coach Taylor Wasylk has pledged her portion of the proceeds from her Buffalo Beauts shirseys sale to Suffolk CARES.

Wasylk, who reupped her contract with the Beauts of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) after being a late addition to the roster for the 2020-21 Lake Placid season, is granted 15 percent of every shirsey, a t-shirt that replicates a jersey, sale with her name on the back. Instead of pocketing the profit, Wasylk has decided to give back to her Ram Nation roots and give her portion of the profits to Suffolk CARES once again.

Suffolk CARES works collaboratively with students and their families, faculty, staff and other campus resources to provide support for students through a variety of challenges they may encounter while at Suffolk.  Suffolk CARES assists students in finding the best resources for their individual needs and empowers students to advocate for themselves so that they may remain personally and academically successful. Suffolk CARES consists of a combination of resources and programs managed by the director of student outreach and support. Resources include, but are not limited to Case Management, Suffolk CARES Pantry, Food Insecurity Grants, and Emergency Funding Grants.

Since her arrival in Beacon Hill, Wasylk has been an advocate for Suffolk CARES. In May 2021, she spearheaded Suffolk's effort in Under Armour's Though This Together campaign, a week-long online t-shirt sale in which the Rams raised over $1,300 to benefit the University's organization and last year's shirsey's sale, which was one of the most popular of the Beauts 2020-21 roster, brought in $200 for the pantry.

Fans can purchase their Wasylk shirsey, which features the Rams' head coach's signature, in either black or blue for $35 here.
