Women’s Hockey Slips to No. 11 Endicott, 3-2

BEVERLY, Mass. – A goal with 1:13 remaining in regulation broke up a 2-all game and allowed No. 11 Endicott to hand Suffolk women's hockey a 3-2 Conference of New England setback Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 2 | No. 11 Endicott 3
RECORDS: Suffolk (8-13-1, 6-8-1 CNE) | Endicott (17-4-1, 12-2-1 CNE)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk broke open the scoreless game on the power play 1;51 into the middle period thanks to Sam Molind, who had help from Maddie Gagliano and Jenna Caballero.

The Gulls responded with a pair of goals to take the lead with their second strike coming on a power play of its own at the 13:32 mark.

The Rams had an answer of their own 1:18 later when Gagliano struck thanks to a set-up from Kate Pohl to level the playing field at 2-all.

Things remained deadlocked at two through the final period until the final 1:30 when Rivers Morris capitalized and tucked the puck away to give the Gulls the upper hand, 3-2.

Suffolk had a final chance even things up when Ella Rago was whistled for hooking with 27 seconds left on the clock. Abby Ostrom pulled Katelyn Michals from her station between the pipes to give the Rams the second extra skater. The advantages did not help the blue-and-gold though as Casey Moritz denied the only shot Suffolk put on target to seal the setback from the Rams.
