AHCA RELEASE | KRAMPADE DIVISION II-III ALL-AMERICAN SCHOLARS
BOSTON – Suffolk women's ice hockey saw eight players pick up Krampade All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) for the 2024-25 campaign, the national organization announced.
Lily O'Neil and Aiden Levee-Oshiro are repeat honorees. The former grabbed her program-best fifth, while the latter secured the selection for the second straight season. Lily Abraham, Alexia Hill, Katelyn Michals, Sam Molind, Katie Newkirk and Abby Sandler, meanwhile, took home the recognition for the first time.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 grade point average for each semester and had to appear in 40 percent of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.
All six of the Conference of New England (CNE) women's hockey programs were presented on the list that featured 459 Division III women. Suffolk's eight honorees were among 55 CNE players to be recognized for their work inside the classroom. Curry had the most with 16 followed by 11 from Nichols. Western New England saw eight distinctions to tie the Rams with Endicott and the University of New England rounding out the list with seven and five nods, respectively.
Suffolk has seen at least one player grab the accolade in all seven seasons in the program's history dating back to 2018-19. Overall, 23 blue-and-gold skaters have combined for 32 academic awards from the AHCA with the addition of the program-best eight this year.
