BOSTON – Suffolk women's ice hockey continues its challenging stretch against ranked opponents as it hosts No. 15 Colby on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink at 5:00 p.m.

Jenna Caballero put away the game-winning goal with 16.7 seconds remaining in the contest to lift Suffolk women's ice hockey to a 3-2 Conference of New England (CNE) triumph over No. 6 Endicott, 3-2, Saturday at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • The 3-2 victory over then-No. 6 Endicott Saturday marked Suffolk's first win over a ranked opponent since November 22, 2022, when the Rams outlasted then-No. 13 Endicott, 2-1, in overtime.
  • The thrilling upset over the Gulls pushed Suffolk to 5-7-1 on the season. 
  • Alexia Hill ranks third in the conference with six goals to pair with four assists to sit tied in first on the team with ten points.
  • Liliana Moose notched two assists against the Gulls to bring her handout count to seven to go along with three goals. 
  • Alongside Moose for the top spot in assists is Bella Schmidt with seven helpers of her own and the junior's stat line features one goal as well. 
  • Jenna Caballero is coming off a two-goal outing, including the game-winning tally Saturday, and now owns five points (3g, 2a) on the campaign.
  • Katelyn Michals holds a 2.91 goals against average, .930 save percentage, and ranks first in the conference in saves per contest (38.55) across 11 starts.
  • The Rams operate at a 18.0 percent clip on the power play and 73.8 percent on the penalty kill.

MULES MATCHUP

  • Colby enters the contest riding a three-game win streak after a weekend sweep of Hamilton to bring a 7-2-0 record to Boston.
  • Courtney Schumacher leads the Mules with 10 points (8g, 2a), while pacing the team with three game-winning goals.
  • Breanna Studley has also produced 10 points with one goal and a team-leading nine assists.
  • Molly Lefebvre adds eight points (4g, 4a) as Megan Martodam (5g, 2a) and Marion Legge (1g, 6a) account for seven points each.
  • In net, Colby features a tandem led by Grace Caliguiri (3-1-0, 1.51 GAA) and Ally Martiniello (4-1-0, 1.49 GAA).
  • Colby converts on the power play 25.9 percent of the time and keeps team off the board 88.9 percent of the time.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Tuesday marks the third all-time meeting between Suffolk and Colby after the series began during the 2023-24 season.
  • Suffolk dropped a 6-3 decision on the road to Colby on November 19, 2024.
