HARTFORD, Conn. – Suffolk women's lacrosse dropped its final regular-season contest to Conference of New England (CNE) opponent Hartford, 16-6, on the road Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hartford came out strong with a 4-0 run over the opening 5:42 of play. Bridget O'Leary stopped the momentum with an unassisted goal at the 7:31 mark. Julia Dickinson followed just 49 seconds later with a man-down free-position goal, and Carley Ehwa found Zoe Peckham with exactly one minute remaining in the opening frame to cut the deficit to 4-3 heading into the second quarter.
- Peckham secured her second of the game off a feed from Dickinson to even the score at 4-4 with 14:12 remaining in the half. Hartford then responded with five straight goals to build its largest lead of the game at 9-4 with 43 seconds left before halftime. Ehwa stopped the run with an unassisted tally with 26 seconds remaining to send the Rams into the break trailing 9-5.
- The Hawks quickly regained their five-goal advantage with an early strike in the second half before Ehwa answered at the 9:53 mark of the third quarter to make it a 10-6 game. Hartford then closed out the final 24:53 of the contest on a 6-0 run to secure the 16-6 victory.
GOALIE LOG
- Charlotte Guziejka recorded 14 saves on the night.
- Mandi Rivard stopped six shots and was relieved by Emily Campbell who made one save.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Ehwa led all Suffolk scorers with two goals and one assist to go along with one ground ball.
- Peckham added two goals, and Dickinson recorded one goal and one assist with two ground balls.
- O'Leary finished with one goal, three ground balls, one draw control, and one caused turnover.
- Kate Carlson led the team with four ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Suffolk secured the sixth seed in the CNE playoffs and will compete in the CNE First Round on Saturday, April 25.
