HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first half, Simmons scored in the first 10 minutes of the second stanza to take a 1-0 advantage. The lead quickly blossomed to 2-0 four minutes later and the Sharks tacked on their third goal at the 75th minute mark to jump ahead by three. Pushing for a comeback, Suffolk had one shot turned away and two hitting the net – first Jennifer Martin's attempt hit the crossbar, before Alexandra Nagri hit the post. The Rams were unable to score in the right net, however, as the blue-and-gold gave Simmons another goal at 87:04 for the final 4-0 score.
