KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second straight week, Suffolk women's soccer holds the No. 7 spot in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Regional Rankings, as the Rams remain among the top programs in Region II, the national organization announced.
The Rams maintained their highest-ever regional position behind another undefeated stretch, going 2-0-0 last week with shutout victories over crosstown rivals UMass Boston (2-0) and Wentworth (3-0). Those back-to-back shutouts pushed the blue-and-gold's win streak to four, the most victories in a row since it compiiled five to get last season started Sept. 1-14, 2023.
Suffolk owns an 8-1-2 overall record, including a 3-1-0 mark in CNE competition, its best start in league play since joining the ranks in 2021. Defensively, the Rams continue to boast one of the region's stingiest backlines, allowing just three goals through all competitions and racking up eight shutouts.
The Rams are one of four CNE programs represented in the regional poll, joining Hartford (third), Roger Williams (sixth), and the University of New England eighth).
The blue-and-gold looks to keep its momentum rolling when it travels to Bristol, Rhode Island Saturday, Oct. 11 take on Roger Williams at 3 p.m.
