Women’s Soccer Places Five on All-CNE

CNE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk women's soccer capped off a historic campaign with five Rams earning All-Conference of New England (CNE) honors, the league announced Friday morning. Avery Porter headlined the group with a spot on the All-CNE First-Team, while Sinclaire Hart earned second-team recognition and Lily GoldmannDaniela Petronio, and Arden Rose each received third-team accolades.

Hart, Goldmann, Petronio and Rose garnered the first all-conference distinctions of their collegiate careers. Porter, meanwhile, grabbed her third consecutive all-conference award.

The five total honors not only mark the most in the Ellie McDougall era, but sits the second-most in program history behind the six awards captured in 2010  from the Great Northeast athletic Conference (GNAC).

The fivesome was instrumental to Suffolk's fifth-ever double-digit win season, a 10-3-6 campaign, with a program-best 13 shutouts.

Behind a 4-3-3 league ledger, the blue-and-gold locked up the sixth seed in the CNE Tournament to make the program's third trip to the CNE postseason and first since 2023. The Rams upset third seed Johnson & Wales, 2-1, in the first round, before it forced a scoreless draw at second seed Endicott to determine the title tilt ticket via penalty kicks. Suffolk came out on the wrong side of a 4-3 shootout decision to end its season one game shy of the championship contest.

Porter became the first Ram to receive a First Team All-CNE selection since goalkeeper Allison Rodrigues earned the distinction in 2021. The defender from Portland, Oregon, collected her third straight all-conference honor, continuing her decorated career as one of the cornerstones of Suffolk's backline. In addition to her defensive dominance, the junior captain contributed offensively with four goals and one assist. With three honors, Porter is the most decorated Ram in the CNE era and is the first Suffolk student-athlete with three or more all-league accolades, first since Meghan McHale earned one award in each season of her collegiate career from 2009-13 from the GNAC.

Hart secured a spot on the second-team following a standout campaign as the Rams' holding midfielder. The Keswick, Virginia, native was a vital piece of Suffolk's defensive and transitional structure, while also adding two assists to her stat line. The sophomore's presence in the midfield was instrumental in maintaining possession and disrupting opposing attacks throughout the season en route to her first all-league nod.

Goldmann, a senior forward, collected third-team recognition after leading Suffolk in both goals (9) and points (19). Her nine tallies ranked fifth in the conference, and she delivered in timely moments, including a pivotal goal in the CNE Quarterfinal against Johnson & Wales.

Petronio joined Goldmann on the third-team after another strong offensive campaign. The senior forward finished second on the squads with 14 points split between six goals and two handouts., The Cheshire, Connecticut, product provided a consistent scoring punch throughout the season, including two game-winning goals that helped secure key victories over Worcester State Sept. 24 and Nichols Oct. 29.

Rose rounded out Suffolk's all-conference honorees with a third-team. The first-year goalkeeper tied the single-season program record with nine shutouts, matching Melissa Brouillette's mark set in 2011. In her first season in blue-and-gold, the Fremont, California native posted a 6-2-5 record with a 0.45 goals-against average, 54 saves, and a .900 save percentage. Her nine shutouts also place her in a share for fourth all-time in program history alongside Sophia Barker and Arden Ferrari-Henry. She is second-ever keeper to take home an all-conference nod, first since Rodrigues grabbed All-CNE First-Team in 2021.

In addition to the conference awards, Molly Knight represented Suffolk on the CNE Community Service Team, which is presented to a student-athlete on each squad that demonstrates a commitment to their community.

Over five seasons in the league, the Rams have accumulated 16 All-CNE selections, including two first-team, three second-team, and 11 third-team. Eleven (11) of those recognitions have come under McDougall's leadership.

When combined with the program's GNAC history, the program boasts 53 total all-conference honors, including two offensive player of the year awards, three rookie of the year nods, eight first-team selections, 10 second-team accolades, and 18 third-team recognitions.
