NORTH READING, Mass. – The Suffolk women's tennis team put together a near perfect match to sweep Albertus Magnus in GNAC action Friday night at North Reading High School.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Back-to-back golden doubles matches on courts two and three gave Suffolk the first two points of the night.Elena Cisneros Garcia and Kendall Smith bested Nallely Magana and Cassie Courture in the second spot before Meagan French and Jordan Miller downed Tiffaneee Gardner and Tia Brianna Belnavis in the third position.
Delany Dunlap and Ilda Ascic teamed up as the Rams' top tandem for an 8-4 victory over Jessica Coughlin and Izzy Sabino to send the Rams into singles play up 3-0.
Miller carried over the momentum with a golden match in spot five over Gardner to set up match point, which was clinched by a 6-0, 6-1 victory by Smith on court four against Couture.
From there, Cisneros Garcia notched a golden match on court three against Magana and Bean shutout Belnavis in the sixth slot.
Dunlap downed Coughlin, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 and Ascic defeated Sabino, 6-2, 6-2 in the second spot to seal the sweep for Suffolk.

Suffolk is back in action tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 14 when it lifts the lid on its GNAC schedule against Albertus Magnus. The conference clash is set to begin at 4 p.m. at North Reading High School.
