NORTH READING, Mass. – The Suffolk women's tennis team coupled its second straight win together as the Rams cruised past Saint Joseph (Conn.), 8-1, Wednesday night at North Reading High School.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rams took a 3-0 edge into singles play as each of the blue-and-gold's tandem took care of business. The top team of Delaney Dunlap and Ilda Ascic got the scoring going with an 8-4 victory over Lucy Roberg and Ashley Savino. Elena Cisneros Garcia and Kendall Smith downed Dominique Carnot and Leah Nguyen, 8-5, before Meagan French and Jordan Millersealed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 triumph on court three against Carolyn Callahn and Emily McAllister.
As the match turned into singles play, Smith set up match point by besting Carnot, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 4. Cisneros Garcia clinched the match in Suffolk's favor with a 6-1, 6-4, win over Savino in the third spot.
With the win already in the books, the Rams' earned victories on courts fifth, two and six the remainder of the way for the final 8-1 margin.
French downed Callahan, 6-3, 6-4, in the fifth position. Ascic defeated Nguyen, 6-3, 7-5 in the second slot and Miller picked up a 6-2, 6-4 triumph in the sixth spot against McAllister to wrap up the Suffolk scoring.
