Women’s Track & Field Runs at Crimson Open Friday

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Suffolk women's track & field was represented by seven Rams runners at the Crimson Opener Friday at the Gordon Indoor Track. 

Three blue-and-gold runners posted a personal-best, while another trio made their respective debuts across town.

In the 800, Cassandra Silkoff logged a personal-best 2:28.54 to take 19th, while sophomore Katarina Ferreira put together a 3:12.42 as she competed in the event for the first time in her collegiate career.  

There were four Rams in the 1000 field and they finished 13th through 16th. Chloe Koo (3:09.95) led the charge followed by Gina Cappello (3:26.25), Laina Frasier (3:34.14) and Kaitlyn Cullen (3:46.45) in that order. Koo and Frasier made their debuts, while Cappello and Cullen clocked career-highs in the event.

Megan Dunn rounded out the Rams at Harvard in the mile. The sophomore put together a time of 5:52.76. 

Suffolk will split up on Saturday, Feb. 14 as Rams are scheduled to compete at Tufts' Cupid Challenge and Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invite.
